Business Plan Checklist

• Is the concept clearly defined and easily
understandable?

• What is the specific need for the product?
Is it unique? What research supports the need?

• Once need is established, is there a market a
buyer segment that will pay for the product
or service?

• If there are competitions, how does this
product or service provide an advantage?

• How will this product generate revenue, cover
costs, and provide a return to investors?

• If launched, how does the venture become
sustainable?

• Detail management skills and background.
How is the risk of this venture reduced with
the management team?

• What operating issues are anticipated? What
are the contingencies to meet these issues?

The business plan is a planning tool and a tool to sell to investors. Be sure it is convincing and compelling.
