Family owned businesses experience unique challenges, especially when several family members are working in the business. The Center consulting services focus on evaluating management structure, relationship building, and team building.
In addition, for a variety of reasons, ownership may transition to the next generation, a management team, or to an outside group. This is a complex process and should be started several years prior to the execution. Numerous issues, including: tax implications, management capabilities, market timing, cash-out/earn-out issues and owner health require a great deal of planning.
Our Center team has been assembled to help the family owned business from concept through closing. Each member of the team represents the highest level of competency in each area of the transaction including legal structure of the deal, accounting issues, management assessment, market issues, finding and negotiating with potential buyers, and investing the proceeds of the sale.
Owners do not have to find and secure individuals in each critical transaction component.
